Fairy Tales, Part the Third.
The downside about being a Christmas Fairy, is that the work is Seasonal.
After the fun of the festivities, I found myself unemployed, so I wombled down to the local (then) DHSS to sign on.
The rigmorale involved a filling out of many forms, which had to be taken to various persons to be signed and reviewed, with many, many questions to be answered before getting any monies.
I got my form.
The first question (other than Names, DOB, and NI number and so) was 'What was your last job?' to which I replied 'Fairy/Santa's Helper'
Then it was 'When did the job end?' So I wrote 'December, 24th'
Then the question, 'Why did the job end?' to which I replied...
'Santa went back to Lapland'.
To the best of my knowledge, that form is still doing the rounds at the DSS.
